Responsibilities PeopleTec is currently seeking a Senior Software Mobile Security Reverse Engineer to support our Quantico, VA location. In this role this person will conduct reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of software on various platforms and operating systems, to include mobile, in support of national security for a U.S. Government customer at Quantico, VA. Qualifications Required Skills/Experience : 10 years of software development experience including common scripting languages (such as Python or C/C++)
5 years of experience with reverse engineering of software binaries from mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android, application level, and low-level device code, including ROM, bootloader, kernel, and trustlets using Ghidra or IDAPro
Experience with microcontroller architecture, including ARM or RISC-V, and assembly language programming and associated security features, including pointer authentication code (PAC), memory tagging extensions (MTE), or privilege access never (PAN)
Experience performing software dynamic analysis using JTAG, gdb, OllyDbg, and WinDbg
Experience in exploitation capability prototyping activities, including use after free or heap overflows
Experience with Operating System internals for Windows, Linux, or MacOS
Experience with developing software systems in assembly, C, or C++, on Windows, UNIX, Linux, or VxWorks
Ability to read or write in an assembly language for a variety of architectures, including x86, x64, ARM, RISC, MIPS, or PowerPC
Experience with cryptographic algorithms and features commonly used in software
Travel: 25 % Must be a U.S. Citizen An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment. Education Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an approved equivalent from an ABET accredited program Desired Skills : Experience in formal software development environments requiring methods such as Agile Experience with analyzing malware or reverse engineering in x86 Windows binaries
Experience with reverse engineering embedded firmware
Knowledge of hardware and system-level design
Experience with working in virtualized environment
Experience with kernel-level development
Experience with Windows and Linux driver development
Knowledge of lA concepts and protocols, including cryptography
