Please note that only qualified candidates will be contacted. Position: Sr. Level - Helpdesk/Operations Support Services Support Location: Radford, VA
Security Clearance: DoD Interim Secret as a minimum OR Secret Clearance
Citizenship: US
Required Certifications: New Technical Operations Center analysts are required to earn ITIL v4 Foundations Certification within 90 days of hire date
Shift hours: 3rd shift, 10 hours (22:30 - 09:00), during first few weeks of training, you will work day shift, but then switch over to the 3rd shift with 3 weekdays and every other weekend. Position Requirements: • Fielding user communication, creating/documenting tickets, troubleshooting, and escalation. This includes initial support and analysis for correct classification, ticket ownership, monitoring, tracking and communication, resolution and recovery of incidents not assigned to second tier support, closure of incidents, monitoring the status and progress towards resolution of assigned incidents, and communication to relevant parties on incident progress.
• Completing other non-ticket creation duties as assigned by Operations Center Management, including approved communications within and external to organization
• Willingness to follow, adhere to, and create new processes/procedures for utilization within the Technical Operations Center, including shift scheduling and performance metrics
Incumbent will receive initial 4-6 weeks of training Monday through Friday, . After training is complete, incumbent will be expected to support first, second, or third shifts depending on mission requirements. These are 10-hour shifts that cover three weekdays and every other weekend. Required Skillset: • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills in a team environment
• Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, MS Office Suite, help desk/trouble ticketing software (prior use of ServiceNow preferred), and VoIP technologies
• New Operations Center analysts are required to earn ITIL v4 Foundations Certification within 90 days of hire date, and CompTIA Security +/CE requirements within 6 months of hire date
• Must have foundational knowledge in coding in PowerShell, Python, or other languages with a desire expand coding knowledge and abilities
• Must have foundational OSI Layer knowledge, prior experience in IT administration supporting various operating systems, monitoring, networking, virtualization, storage, and/or cybersecurity preferred with a desire to expand upon existing knowledge base and skillset
