Job description
BUSINESS ANALYST / DEPUTY PROJECT MANAGER INCATech is searching for an experienced Business Analyst, in which you will work closely on an Agile team with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Project Managers, Developers, QA Analysts, and other team members to facilitate meetings with product owners and other key stakeholders, elicit requirements, document user stories, support testing, and test-related documentation, iterate and ultimately deliver quality technical solutions that meet customer expectations. You will work with other Business Analysts on this team to support Web-based applications. Familiarity with Agile software development is required. LOCATION: Strong Preference to applicants who are willing to work onsite, at least 3-4 days a week in our Plaza America Office. RESPONSIBILITIES: Owns the Business Analysis processes and SOPs for the DoS TSG project Assist the PM in every Agile ceremony, including sprint planning and sprint retrospective. Act as the backup Scrum Master if PM is not available. Update and maintain Jira board for the team. Revise Jira board per PM and Product Owner direction.
Have full ownership of ensuring sprint wrap-up and beginning of new sprint go smoothly, by following BA procedures.
Have full ownership in facilitating communication between all team members on the TSG team. This includes check-ins, meetings to discuss sprint planning, meetings to discuss impediments a team may be running into. Check in with team members and teams to determine the status of a claimed impediment to track its progress. Lead the writing of user stories based on what the team leads determine is work upcoming for the next sprint. Edit these stories during sprint planning. Work with the team leads to determining the correct AC for each story. Lead the continuous update of Jira to ensure labels, details, tasks, descriptions, are up-to-date and connected to the correct parents and Epic. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience: MUST HAVE AT LEAST AN INTERIM SECRET CLEARANCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPENING. 2-5 years of experience in a business analyst or requirements analyst role. Experience writing Epics, User Stories, and Tasks. Experience gathering requirements and using management tools (Jira, GitLab, etc.). Experience in using Microsoft Suite of products (MS SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge of the Agile software life cycle. Ability to work in a large project with clients in a fast-paced, team-based environment. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or other relevant major. Preferred: Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience with Jira is preferred. Experience working in a cross-functional team.
