We're searching for our next Communications Specialist to work with our government clients on strategic communications and event logistics in support of large-scale public awareness campaigns. You'll make a real impact working directly with our clients to address and solve key their key issues, drive change, and grow our business. The idea candidate will have government communications experience and be passionate and knowledgeable about engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. This position is based in the D.C. Metro area. Minimal travel may be required. As an Events Coordinator, you will: Support client event planning - including staffing, speaker coordination, travel logistics, and media coverage.
Provide on-site assistance at client events - including registration, schedule coordination, and audience management.
Review communications options available to the program team and help prioritize the most effective, efficient, and powerful communication to amplify the intended goals of projects and programs.
Draft and maintain standard operating procedures, communication calendars, e-mails, etc.
Assist in drafting monthly status reports for clients.
Manage other internal projects as assigned. Qualifications for the Events Coordinator include: Three or more years of communications and/or stakeholder engagement experience, ideally on government/DHS clients
Degree in communications or relevant field.
Ability to maintain a public trust clearance (or holds a current clearance)
Excellent verbal, written, organizational and project management skills.
Ability to think creatively and develop innovative ideas into actionable solutions. We are looking for a driven changemaker - an individual who: Exhibits excellent client-facing skills.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is :
