Job Description Responsible for Configuration Management (CM) of developmental and operational systems. Works on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) for operational systems. Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement policies and procedures. Develops or modifies CM plans, policies and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system. Implement CM disciplines for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirement/capabilities to system end-of-life. Perform change control and configuration audits. Location for this work is in Dulles, VA. FLEXIBLE HOURS and a 9/80 work schedule. So every other Friday off! Required Education, Experience, & Skills Six (6) years of experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. If assigned to a developmental program, one year of experience using a source code control system for a program of similar scope and complexity. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Candidates shall possess the following criteria:
Understand basic concepts, assist in maintaining and developing the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, implementing those scripts with the hardware and software build process. Utilize CM tools to store, track and manage configuration items
Maintain the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing and integration
Develop hard/software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensure they are followed on development projects
Apply concepts and define and implement hard/software CM processes/procedures; such as creating product build scripts and procedures
Serve as an advisor to Change Control Board Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $131331 - $223309 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
