We are hiring for a great opportunity for a Contracts Administrator in our Reston, VA location. This position is full-time and is required to be onsite three (3) days per week and have the ability for telework arrangements two (2 days) per week. The Contracts Administrator is responsible for Requests for Proposal, negotiating Change Orders, reviewing and submitting Contract Deliverables, guiding customer change requests, and overseeing Contract Administration tasks. This position must have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Responsibilities Performs external customer liaison activities to include attendance at customer meetings, correspondence both verbal and written with customer personnel, and leading meetings with internal and external customers. Makes recommendations to management to execute contractual documents such as modifications, Memorandum of Agreements, Administrative Change Letters, and Letters of Technical Direction. Reviews such contractual documents to identify scope and clause changes, funding or contract value changes, and provides input to support any risk associated with acceptance of modifications. Develops and works with customers to create and process notification letters to customers involving scope changes, operational issues, and requests for assistance. Involved in review of proposal documents in support of government requests for proposal. Also provides recommendation for changes to proposals, and verifies compliance with the government's request. At times, involved in creation of proposal documentation. Reviews Contracts deliverable requirements to the customer, and provides recommended changes. Submits Contracts deliverable requirements to the customer when necessary. Provides internal customer support through guidance of contract requirements and process for changes to requirements. Assists with creation or modification of contractual documents. Oversees contract administration tasks including proposal reviews, negotiations, and contract administration letter/notification process. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications Education High School graduate. Associates or Bachelor's College degree or equivalent experience preferred. Experience Minimum of two years broad-based U. S. Government contracts administrative/management experience, including experience with contract cost/pricing and proposal development preferred. Have a thorough working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DoD FAR Supplement (DFARS), contract law, and the RFP process. Skills Must have strong demonstrated business management, contract negotiation, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Expert level of proficiency with MS Office software; particularly Excel. Travel Requirements: The position requires approximately 10% - 15% travel in the National Capital Region and Pax River, MD. Security Clearance Requirements: The position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.
