Description This is an entry-level position, intended for candidates who have 0-1 years of experience and are available to start working during Summer 2025. This position can be performed remotely, or on a hybrid basis from our Reston, VA office. What you'll be doing: Participate in client and stakeholder interviews to gather requirements on business process, existing systems/reports, and pain points
Identify data source systems and perform extensive system analysis and data profiling on these systems.
Design end-to-end BI/Reporting solutions, from data extraction to presentation, to address the clients' needs.
Provide detailed technical requirements to (1) the Extract, transform, and load(ETL) to processing routines and data feeds (2) Data Modelling team to create necessary data structures or data models (3) Data Visualization team for detailed BI/reporting requirements.
Perform data validation/QA on the BI solution to ensure that it meets the technical requirements.
Work with Project Manager, Data/Solution Architect and Development team to plan and manage Agile Sprints for product delivery. What you must have (minimum qualifications): A completed Bachelor's degree by Summer 2025 in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Employment must be compliant with eligibility for Public Trust Clearance due to Government Contract. Candidates are encouraged to highlight, in their resume , any experience with the following: Experience leading client conversations and conducting requirement/user interview sessions
Experience performing data analysis, including writing SQL queries (or similar) against source and target system databases.
Experience in providing detailed technical requirements to the ETL, Data Modelling and Data Visualization team by creating BI report mockups, source-to-target data mapping, data dictionaries, data flow diagrams etc.
Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience showing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative
Proficient with data warehouse design that includes data modeling, ETL and BI reporting development for big data systems
Demonstrated knowledge of data analysis and modeling approaches and scripting software (e.g., R, Python)
Effective time management skills and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in MS Office products, such as Excel, Visio, Teams and PowerPoint
Very strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and to apply a variety of technical skills and innovative thinking to solve problems
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with agile development process Technologies you'll use in this role: SQL, Python, R, Talend, SAS

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is :
$52,488.00 - $89,230.00 Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
