Intelligent Waves is growing rapidly and has an outstanding new opportunity for a Service Desk (Tier 1) to work on an important technical program for a major DoD organization headquartered in Reston, VA. Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting the Department of Defense (DoD)? We're looking for a systems administrator who can lead a small team in configuring, deploying, and maintaining Windows desktop images and supported applications to help us provide compliant, secure, and highly performant endpoints that are centrally managed using leading edge tools. Location: This position is based in Reston, VA Travel: None Remote Schedule: Will work as part of an overall team to provide needed coverage and support with remote work capability according to mission schedules. Security Clearance: Must be a United States Citizen and hold a current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols. Responsibilities Resolve break fix tickets and ensure customers receive the highest level of customer support. Help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. Salary is dependent on education level + years of relevant experience and will be determined by the DOD customer. Qualifications Required: Experience in troubleshooting and break/fix repairs with IT assets, including desktops, laptops, printers, and accessories
Experience with ticketing systems, including BMC Remedy
Knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System and Active Directory
TS/SCI clearance
Security+ CE Certification
Desired: Knowledge of DHCP, switches, and networking
Ability to manage projects and multi-task
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree
CISSP, CAP, ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Certification
