Job description

Job Title: Junior Solution Architect / Technology Lead Job Responsibilities: May participate on a leadership team to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications. Collaborate closely with one or more development teams to promote best practices, expedite issue diagnosis, and clarify design, Support technology thought leadership through contribution to technology proofs of concept and architectural decision-making. General Summary:
Aid definition and development of federally compliant technical solutions in support of the company's customers. The successful candidate shall have demonstrated technical expertise in Information Management and Technology Modernization: Supporting government customers and their current and emerging missions by developing and implementing software solutions to modernize and improve enterprise information technology and data repositories; implement electronic records management. He/she shall possess academic and technical expertise required to research and understand technical areas assigned. The successful candidate shall possess the leadership and interpersonal skills needed to work effectively with program leadership, peers, and subject matter experts within the company, teaming partners, and customers. The successful candidate shall be responsible for assisting technical requirements gathering needed to address specific customer requirements; advise the development team and program leaders on technical factors associated with capture plans; contribute to technical solutioning for proposals; and support completion of technical deliverables for customers, as directed. He/she may participate in strategy and roadmap exercises, architecture definition, product selection, application, and integration design. The successful candidate shall participate in all phases of the project from discovery and planning through implementation and delivery. The successful candidate shall also wear many hats and gain experience with tools, technologies, and platforms across many technology stacks. Finally, the successful candidate shall posses knowledge of architecture and design patterns including the ability to apply them as well as experience working in an agile environment following the SAFe model. Required Technical Qualifications: 1. Minimum 2-years' experience performing as a technical lead in a company supporting primarily federal agencies. 2. Minimum 5-years' experience performing as a cloud and services-first software engineer or developer with a cloud and services-first focus. 3. Minimum 2-years' experience performing as a technical lead in a company supporting primarily federal agencies. 4. Demonstrated expertise in determining innovative solutions in multiple technical areas, such as: 1) Information Technology Modernization; 2) Intelligent Analytics; 3) Artificial Intelligence; 4) Cloud Infrastructure 5) Electronic Records Management; 6) Knowledge Management & Data Visualization; and others. 5. Possess academic and technical expertise required to research and understand technical areas assigned. 6. Demonstrated expertise in technical writing and superior briefing/verbal communication skills. 7. Problem solver who has demonstrated the ability to research and gain understanding of complex technical areas and to develop solutions through research when expertise is unavailable through other sources. 8. Expertise in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Teams, Word, Power Point, Excel) 9. Expertise in Atlassian tools (e.g., BitBucket, Jira, Confluence) 10. Minimum Bachelors' Degree in relevant subject Desired Technical Qualifications: 1. Masters' Degree in relevant subject 2. Experience and expertise in developing solutions in support of agencies within USDA, HHS, DHS, or Department of Treasury. 3. Experience as a technical thought leader helping federal customers understand technology tradeoffs. Required Personal/Interpersonal Skills: 1. Hands-on, collaborative leadership style in the context of assisting multifaceted technical teams. 2. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills needed to be highly proficient communicating with engineers and convey technical ideas to non-engineers; lead and collaborate with company and partner subject matter experts in developing solutions for ongoing projects; be able to talk to "engineers" and convey technical ideas to non-engineers. 3. Passionate, resilient, flexible, self-disciplined self-starter.
