Buying a car is a major, exciting purchase for customers which involves many steps & decisions - finance and ancillary products being a major part of this decision. The Financial Services and Products (FS&P) team is responsible for the strategy and operations of our 3rd party finance platform and our ancillary product offerings.

About The Role

As an Analyst II/Senior Analyst on FS&P, you will play a critical role in defining and executing on the FS&P strategy. Responsibilities in this role include representing FS&P from a business, operational, and customer experience perspective with both internal and external business partners. In doing so, you will work closely with various Product teams focused on evolving CarMax consumer finance and product offerings and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for FS&P's key initiatives. This position provides a strategic thinker, possessing strong analytical and influencing skills, the opportunity to play a leadership role in driving the strategy for a key area of CarMax's growth.

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities:
• Champion FS&P's key strategic initiatives
• Support and develop new opportunities that will drive customer value, maximize sales, and drive market differentiation
• Represent FS&P across the organization, specifically with various Product teams, as a SME for all related areas including the credit platform, affinity partnerships, protection plans (including extended service plans and GAP), subscription fees, and other vehicle add-ons
• Support FS&P's external relationships with business changes and new growth initiatives
• Leverage reporting to manage and monitor the performance impact of innovation and testing
• Partner with Sales Operations, Analysts, and Product teams to identify and assess customer and associate impacts from innovation and change initiatives
• Monitor the auto finance industry, competitive trends, and technology - while assessing their impact to CarMax

Qualifications and Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to people with varying backgrounds and levels of technical familiarity
• A track record of excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and quantitative/qualitative analysis
• Willingness and enthusiasm to collaborate with a team of passionate analysts and business partners who are regularly shaping strategy at a big-picture and detailed level
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with courageous leadership skills to motivate and influence across all levels of the organization. External relationship management experience preferred
• Four-year undergraduate degree with strong academic performance. MBA or degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years of successful leadership experience within CarMax or if external candidate, ideally in business partner channel management or process management.

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
