Education:

Associate's degree Preferred

Required Skills and Abilities:

3 to 5 years of experience in designing and drafting

Basic knowledge of drafting principles

Basic knowledge of building and construction principles

Good analytical and abstract thinking with the ability to process detailed information

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent computer skills

Ability to process and understand maps and charts

Ability to use Microsoft office suite of software

Ability to use AutoCAD and/or Micro Station drawing software

Design Draftsman Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will organize and maintain documents associated with design, engineering and construction within the Power Generation Business Unit of client

Organizes and maintains drawings, prints, diagrams, word documents and pdf documents

Works closely with designers, engineers, and power station personnel to find and perform simple drafting tasks and revisions to drawings and documents

Compiles and organizes submittal drawings and documents from 3rd party vendors and consultants

Locates, modifies and prints drawings using small and large format plotter
