Job description

The Electrical Site Safety Director - Data Center Construction will be responsible for implementing and managing safety programs specific to electrical work within data center construction projects. This role requires a proactive approach to identify hazards, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and foster a culture of safety among all team members and subcontractors.


Responsibilities
  • Safety Program Development:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Ensure that all electrical work adheres to industry standards and best practices.
  • Training and Education:
    • Conduct safety training sessions for employees and subcontractors on electrical safety protocols, hazard recognition, and emergency response procedures.
    • Ensure that all personnel are properly trained and certified for electrical work.
  • Site Inspections and Audits:
    • Perform regular site inspections to monitor compliance with safety practices and regulations.
    • Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Incident Management:
    • Investigate accidents and incidents, determine root causes, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
    • Prepare detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to promote safety as a priority on all projects.
    • Facilitate regular safety meetings to discuss concerns, improvements, and updates in safety practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, incidents, and safety audits.
    • Prepare and submit reports to management regarding safety performance and initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay current with industry regulations and safety standards, including OSHA and NFPA guidelines, ensuring compliance throughout all projects.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies as necessary.
