Adventure Tours is a leading Motor Coach company with locations in Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC, Philadelphia, PA, Long Island, NY, and a new location in Richmond, VA. We provide safe, reliable, and exceptional transportation services, including daily shuttle routes, line runs, and charters. We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA.


Job Description:
The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day scheduling and dispatching of drivers, ensuring smooth operations and on-time performance. This role requires a hands-on approach, focusing on coordinating routes, managing driver schedules, and maintaining high safety standards. A valid CDL is required for this role, with the ability to assist with driving if needed. The Operations Manager will also need to be available for on-call duties and have the ability to assist with preventive maintenance tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and dispatch drivers for daily routes, charters, and special events.
  • Monitor operations in real-time to ensure on-time performance and service efficiency.
  • Communicate with drivers to provide updates, instructions, and resolve any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and driver hours.
  • Assist with driver recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Perform driving duties if necessary to support operational needs.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and reliability of the fleet.
  • Be available for on-call duties to handle any after-hours operational issues.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements.
  • Experience in dispatching or transportation coordination, preferably in the motor coach industry.
  • Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance for motor coaches or other commercial vehicles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
