Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist with pediatric fellowship training (or equivalent pediatric experience) to join the cohesive team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. - Care Team Model of 9 General Anesthesiologists, 4 CV Anesthesiologists and 29 CRNAs covering 20 sites of service including 8 Pediatric Intensive Care Unit beds.
- This position will oversee anesthesia for all daytime pediatric cases along with the current, part time pediatric anesthesiologist. Cases include pediatric ortho spine, ENT, general abdominal and general ortho.
- In addition to pediatric cases, this role will provide anesthesia services for trauma, vascular, thoracic, OB, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, GYN and GI.
- Please note that a separate CV anesthesia team covers open heart procedures, TAVRs, and mitral clips.
- The annual surgical volume 18,000 cases. 500 labor epidurals on average.
- Average work week 40-45 hours in house.
- Call shifts are split equally among the team (in-house, no "home call"):
- Primary Night Trauma call is in-house from 6p-7a on weekdays and 7a-7a on weekends and weekday holidays. Post call day off.
- Calls picked up beyond contracted numbers garner additional compensation.
- W2, salaried opportunity with excellent compensation.
