Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for creating clear and concise documentation while coordinating project timelines and resources to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Writing:

Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, process guides, and system specifications.

Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and clarify technical details.

Edit and proofread documentation for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.

Create and maintain documentation templates and standards to improve efficiency and quality.

Project Coordination:

Assist in the planning and execution of projects, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

Coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting notes and action items.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and status reports.

Skills and Qualifications

Required: 3 years of experience in technical writing and project coordination.

Highly desired: Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, practices, and products. Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) is a plus.

Highly desired: Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to convey complex information clearly.

Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex security concepts in a clear and relatable manner.

Highly desired: Proficient in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Confluence).

Highly desired: Familiarity with project management software.

Highly desired: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Highly desired: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Highly desired: Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management principles.

Required: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

Candidates must be able to be hired directly by the agency without sponsorship. This position requires attendance at monthly meetings onsite in Richmond and additional onsite presence as needed and requested by the Manager. The work arrangement is hybrid, and interviews will be conducted via webcam.
