Accounting Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Transportation or logistics industry experience = a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
• Mentor and lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
