Digital Signal Processing Engineer- TS/SCI with Poly Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: None CACI seeks a talented Communications Engineer to join our, National Mission Systems department within the Space Market. What You'll Get to Do : Design, develop, debug, and test of signal processing algorithms running on a variety of platforms supporting intelligence, defense, and other government missions. Design, develop, integrate, and test software and DSP algorithms. Design, develop, integrate, and test software for Machine Learning applications. Enhancing and maintaining existing X-Midas and M2Extra tools which are used by signal analysts. Help define the requirements, CONOPs and architecture for future systems. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Development of analytic signal processing tools. You'll Bring These Qualifications: A background in digital signal processing (DSP) and communication theory Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance Experience programming in either Python, Java, C++, or any object- oriented or functional language Linux software development experience Demonstrated proficiency in communicating technical and analytical information in written products Exposure to all phases of software development lifecycle (concept, design, implementation, test, and production) Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering) 7+ years of related experience in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science) Software Development skills with object-oriented languages Background digital signal processing an communication theory Linux software development experience These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Full-stack software application development experience Front-end Web UI development experience using Javascript and/or modern development tools and frameworks Back-end application development using Python Experience with inter-process communication mechanisms (e.g. ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, etc.) Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MariaDB/MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB) Containerization and orchestration experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad, Consul) Working knowledge of build-pipelines using Jenkins Understanding of software defined radio systems: Receiver architectures Software channelization Modulation/demodulation techniques Spectral analysis Experience with X-Midas in the development of RF transmission and receiver systems or software defined radio Experience processing signals using Matlab, Octave, or another software tool suite Experience with telemetry systems Knowledge and experience of processing signals, including: Error correcting codes Digital video formats Knowledge and experience with target tracking systems Knowledge and experience performing machine learning techniques Experience in design, development, or testing of weapons systems Development of link budgets, range estimates, and system sensitivity assessments Knowledge of and experience with Geolocation and Direction Finding Kalman filtering Polyphase filtering What We Can Offer You: We've been named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.
