Job description

A1C Partners is in search of a motivated, self-driven Senior Acquisition Specialist to join our team supporting a critical Department of Homeland Defense client! The ideal candidate must have a passion for their work, be innovative, and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities & Duties
• Serve as the team lead over all associated acquisition management tasking and personnel in a cradle to grave acquisition life cycle program.
• Assist the Government in establishing high-level contract strategy and driving implementation of strategic contract opportunities. Provide information that will inform and support organizational and program procurement paths, develop roadmaps for budget execution strategies, and support the development of innovative procurement processes and authorities that enhances the organization and program's ability to receive and execute funds.
• Assist in developing strategic guidance, repeatable processes, management and facilitation of acquisition procedures and policies
• Provide support in developing and providing configuration control and database management for support of contracts management
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to support the development and build-out acquisition business processes and assist in establishing a Center of Excellence for best practices and processes
• Provide Support for pre-award functions associated with awarding new contracts, task orders, agreements, re-competes and financial transfers, including procurement planning and assisting with contract or task order issues involving scope and compliance
• Assist with drafting schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project for procurements in the pre-award phase and after contracts have been awarded.
• Provide support to facilitate and track lifecycle of procurements and renewals from acquisition, receipt and use, physical inventory, and validation, to its disposition by transfer or other means or accounting for it as lost, damaged, or destroyed.
• Provide support for accountable property lifecycle from property acquisition, receipt and use, physical inventory, and validation, to its disposition by transfer or other means or accounting for it as lost, damaged, or destroyed Required Educations, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Bachelors degree required; Master's degree preferred
• A minimum of ten (10) years' recent and relevant experience in Acquisition Planning.
• Microsoft Office product proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Desired)
• Prior government series 1102 experience.
• FAC-C or DAWIA certification Location: Hybrid schedule with expectation to report into one of the offices located in the National Capital Region. Citizenship and Security Clearance Requirements:
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass DHS Background Investigation. Strong preference for candidates with existing CBP BI.
