The Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in providing high-level strategic advice and guidance to the company's leadership. Your responsibilities extend beyond routine tasks and involve influencing key decisions, shaping policies, and ensuring the organization aligns with industry trends and government requirements. Here are some critical aspects of the Portfolio Manager's role and responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Collaborates with top executives to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's goals and objectives in the government services sector. Government Relations: Establishes and maintains relationships with key government officials, agencies, and decision-makers to enhance the company's standing and foster collaboration on government projects. Business Development: Provides strategic input for business development efforts, including identifying new government contracts, partnerships, and opportunities. Advises on proposal strategies and client engagement. Representation: Represents the company at industry conferences, forums, and government-related events. Enhances the company's visibility and credibility within the government services sector. Stakeholder Engagement: Engages with various stakeholders, including clients, industry associations, and community groups, to foster positive relationships and promote the company's interests. Advisory Role: Serves as a trusted advisor to the company's leadership team, offering insights, recommendations, and expertise on government-related matters.The Portfolio Manager for the Intelligence and Special Programs will report to the Chief Operating Officer. The candidate will have long-standing relationships and contacts within the intelligence community and across the federal sector, including but not limited to the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and others. The PM for Intelligence and Special Programs drives the company's ability to maintain and establish new service contracts to build business revenue. The candidate's credentials will include education and understanding of the Federal Government Intelligence landscape, specifically within the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security. The candidate must have experience with department strategy documents and MIP-related programs, which include Defense Planning Guidance (DPG), generating Program Objective Memorandums (POMs), and Budget Estimate Submissions. The candidate is responsible for the development of partnerships and relations, and successful experience managing new business development programs. Experience in staff management/development and creation/management of operations is highly required. They must be able to manage multiple contracts/projects across multiple disciplines and assign tasks to multiple teams. Key tasks include: Applying expert and substantive knowledge of and experience with the DoD and IC, particularly intelligence and security objectives, operations, activities, methods, and budgetary matters, facilitate development and sustainment of governance framework Coordinates with the business leadership in identifying and capturing new business opportunities across the federal sector, and helps build the infrastructure, capabilities, and reporting required to scale. Fosters and maintains excellent working relationships with government customers and industry partners. Leads strategic planning, strategy deployment, growth, go-to-market, strategic intelligence, and strategic transactions to include leading projects/relationships, developing standardized practices/processes, and managing individuals (directly and/or indirectly). Manages multiple partner and customer relationships involving senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders. Ensures appropriate focus on, and commitment to, integration and seamless transition of contract awards into business operations. Gather feedback on customer satisfaction and internal service performance to foster continual improvement. Identify and address workforce planning and management issues (e.g. recruitment, retention, and training). Lead and oversee budget, staffing, and contracting. Lead efforts to manage marketing events, including conference sponsorship and speaking roles targeted at intelligence or relevant federal sector issues. Explain the benefits of a project to the CEO/COO including implementation cost, cash flow of the project, etc.The PM will drive the successful development of our customer service strategy, business planning, business growth, development of community partnerships/provider network, increasing service utilization revenue, budget control, and maintaining/growing existing relationships. Additional responsibilities: Build and manage a team. Win your team and customer's trust with limited support. Prepares program plans, financial models, and growth strategies for the various contracts. Identify ways to maximize revenue and margins. Attract, retain and motivate employees and staff. Ensure highly productive relationships and partnerships internally and externally for the benefit of the organization. Manage schedule and performance across the portfolio of contracts in a dynamic environment.Requirements: This position requires a senior manager who can identify potential problems early and address them expediently. This manager will need to actively lead teams in the Intel development function in an effective, aggressive manner. At the same time, this manager is also expected to contribute to the company's management as a member of the management team. Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Project Manager (CAPM) or DAWIA Level III Certification (Desired) Minimum of 10 years of experience in DoD and IC developing strategy and policy or managing intelligence-related service contracts. 10 years of experience managing intelligence-related programs Strong, personality with excellent communication skills Experience leading major initiatives Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences at various levels. Experience dealing directly with senior level Government or Corporate leadership.
