Job description

United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative engineering and technology business headquartered in San Diego, CA. USS is currently seeking individuals to support the TACNET LANT contract as a Computer Engineer IV. Please note: ALL candidates MUST have a current Security Clearance Responsibilities:
- Provides continual oversight to the Fleet's Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise Services (CANES), maintains awareness of fleet installations, cyber readiness, and Workup Cycles to proactively identify and prioritize CANES distance support needs for both unit level and force level ships
- Immediately address critical issues that occur in the Fleet with expedited support utilizing EDS tools. The team is expected to be staffed with multidisciplinary, high performing/expertise engineers that can troubleshoot and correct a wide variety of issues that could occur on the CANES system
- The team is expected to operate during normal business hours but be able to adapt with a 24/7 staffing rotation to support streamlined/immediate TNRA access and lab access
- Conducts targeted Fleet familiarization training based on expected Fleet operations and/or IT expertise levels Specific Experience: • Ten (10) years with Masters or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
• Five (5) years of technical experience in support of TACNET, or other Navy C4I systems. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Education: • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer
• Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified in 9 months Relevant Certifications: • Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)/ Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or (post award) with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification such as: Microsoft role-based certifications, Microsoft Certified Applicable s Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CISCO Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), VMWare Certified Professional (VCP), Cloud certifications, etc. Benefits:
