Join a highly skilled team of The Ascendancy Group's (TAG)-Headquarters' professionals through support to TAG's Human Resources Department. Overview
As a TAG Human Resources Generalist (HRG), you will provide support to the team by managing the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including employee onboarding, benefit communication and administration, and managing policies and procedures. The Human Resources Generalist will implement and continually evaluate company policies and practices, with strong attention to detail and compliance with existing local, state and federal policy and law. Security Requirement:
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance is required. Roles and Responsibilities:
Communicate with employees as needed on HR topics.
Communicate with leadership regularly and transparently to keep them informed on the pulse of HR efforts.
Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
Work with the recruiter to provide information to job applicants, and assists recruiting team in the recruitment of qualified applicants.
Facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with leadership team, and recruitment team to understand skills, and competencies required for job openings.
Respond to requests for employment verifications.
Create, and modify job offer letters according to company standard.
Conduct employee eligibility verifications, uses, and understand the E-Verify system for I-9 administration. Complete, verify, and maintain I-9 files according to federal regulation and company procedure.
Research, review, recommend, and implement employment laws for the states, counties, and cities in which TAG operates.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Implement new hire onboarding and orientation.
Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
Conduct audits of benefits, payroll or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
Maintain employee personnel files, audits for accuracy.
Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
Assist in the documentation and investigation processes needed to perform performance improvement plans (PIP). May assist in the writing of the PIP.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Work with TAG's leadership team on complex, and/or sensitive matters.
Verify time-keeping reports including but not limited to accrual reports, timesheet reports, leave reports, and payroll reports. Review reports for accuracy and implements a solution for incorrect reports. Assist employees with entering, and submitting time worked, time off requests, and payroll requests into the appropriate system.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Maintain the employee policy handbook. Review, recommend, and implement policies and procedures, Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of human resources management experience in government contracting.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Paycor.
SHRM-CP a plus.
Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, business management or a related field preferred.
