Job description

The successful candidate will provide on-site support at NSWC Dahlgren - Dam Neck Activity (DNA), located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, for day-to-day operations of the Corporate Operations Department, Property Management Division in the areas of general equipment and operating materials & supplies (OM&S), distribution, disposal and reverse logistics, and screening of supply and stock requirements. Specifically, this position supports equipment tagging and inventory management. Responsibilities Full time on-site property management support: tag/record general equipment line items in N-ERP; conducts general equipment physical inventories; maintains subsidiary accounts for Assets Under Development, Fixed Assets, and Accumulated Depreciation in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP); provides assistance to Tech Departments on general equipment property and N-ERP issues; maintains/reconciles general equipment property records and receipts and ensure general equipment property records are auditable and meet FIAR standards; Conducts inventory of containers; assist with the proper packing of containers; and validates shipping manifests against container contents.
Interfaces directly with NSWCDD Technical Departments, local government POCs, Subject Mater Experts (SME), NSWCDD Inventory Specialists and Procurement Analysts, NSWCDD Personal Property Manager (PPM), NSWCDD Organizational Property Administrators (OPA), and the Container Control Officer (CCO).
Updates standard operating procedures and process guides as needed.
Provides accurate and reliable metrics data that affect financial and operational reporting for Leadership.
Completes daily N-ERP transactions accurately to ensure new assets are recorded within required timeline.
Supports Property Management meetings as needed.
Attends local training and knowledge transfer (KT) sessions.
Completes daily N-ERP transactions accurately with no errors to ensure new assets are recorded within 7 days of receipt.
Completes daily N-ERP actions (updates, issue transactions, etc.) accurately with no errors daily.
Completes physical inventories of property in defined timeframes.
Conducts spot check inventories as required.
Conducts stock screening to maintain service level agreement daily.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly Property reports including inventory, property pass, MILSTRIP, Stock Screening, OM&S and GE.
Assists with training technical customers new processes developed for property screening and material management offsite. Qualifications Must hold and maintain a DoD-issued Secret security clearance. Associate's degree, or three (3) years or more of work experience.
Experience with inventory management, procurement, or purchasing.
Working experience utilizing N-ERP for inventory control.
Ability to work independently across multiple online data bases to resolve issues and respond to customer requests.
Must be a detail-oriented and customer-focused team member.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Desired Qualifications: Three years of related experience in inventory management.
Knowledge and experience with the N-ERP tool.
Experience with creating Unique Material Master (UMM) records in N-ERP.
