Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Ten+ (10+) years of experience in the Navy Integrated Logistics Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of the Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy Integrated Logistics Support System
Experience performing Configuration Management (CM) for the development, acquisition, and lifecycle of DoD Program of Record (PoR) systems
Demonstrated experience in one of more of the following configuration management disciplines:
Demonstrated experience developing Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP)
Thorough understanding of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process
Demonstrated experience with automated CM solutions
Experience reading and provide feedback on system drawings and schematics from a configuration perspective
Possess a current Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Excellent verbal and written communication
Desired Skills:
Bachelors degree in a related field
Candidate with active-duty military experience
Experience in one of more of the following areas:Product support planning
Supply support
Provisioning
Planned maintenance
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS-T)
Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plans
Demonstrated experience providing CM on DoD programs or projects
Ten (10) years of experience supporting DoD or Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Programs
Thorough understanding of NSWC operations
Description:
Provides CM for development and maintenance programs
Establishes and maintains configuration item control procedures
Ensures compliance with all configuration management processes, policies and procedures
Maintains status accounting records to ensure that current and historical configuration of products can be accurately determined throughout the product life cycle
Produces reports indicating status of configuration items and communicate to management
Works with automated CM solutions to maintain development and production environments
Reads and provides feedback on system drawings and schematics from a configuration perspective
Performs CM and ILS required for the development, acquisition, and lifecycle of the. To include: product support planning, supply support, provisioning, planned maintenance, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS-T), and technical manuals
Implements a configuration management system to ensure accurate control and traceability of all prototype and system configuration documentation, physical parts, and software media for all development and modification projects
Develops and delivers Configuration Management Plans (CMP). The CMP should define, organize, and establish all processes, procedures, and support systems required to implement the following configuration management disciplines: CM Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Interface Management, Configuration Audits, and Configuration Status Accounting
Develops, updates, and delivers LCSPs
Develops and reviews CM plans, specifications, and procedures. Contractor implementation of the Functional Baseline (FBL) and Allocated Baseline (ABL) requirements involves the creation and release of engineering documentation that incrementally defines the configuration of the specific product.
Acts responsible for the configuration control of the developmental configuration and may iteratively design, release, prototype, and test until the functional and allocated requirements are satisfied.
Defines product structure identifying Configuration Items (CI) and configuration documentation
Provides input through the Configuration Control Board (CCB) process for design changes to the prototypes and systems, and properly adjudicate any associated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) product impacts
Provides Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) plan in accordance with TA-STD-0016
