Machine Operator
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay Rate: $16 an hour
Shift Hours:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:15 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Overview
The Lee Group is seeking a dedicated and versatile Machine Operator for a reputable client in Virginia Beach, VA. The Machine Operator role requires flexibility and adaptability as you will be cross-trained to operate various machines and perform multiple tasks within the production environment.
Key Responsibilities of Machine Operators

• Operate different types of machinery, including extruder machines and molding machines.
• Perform quality control (QC) checks to ensure product measurements meet required specifications.
• Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of equipment that operates at high temperatures (up to 300 degrees).
• Operate forklifts and advanced crimping machines.
• Ensure that all products fit and are up to par with company standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed footwear.

Qualifications of Machine Operators:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work in a hot environment.
• Willingness to be cross-trained and work in various departments.
• Basic mechanical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a hot environment.
