Job description

Our client is expanding its Production Team and is looking for a Production Technician. This role involves assembling and testing Our client's products, working on both established and new products in various stages of R&D. A comprehensive understanding of technology is essential, and experience with electronics and RF is preferred. The position requires proficiency in hand soldering, specifically with cables and PCBA components.

Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager and collaborates closely with the Production, Design, and Procurement Teams. It is ideal for someone with excellent attention to detail, a passion for technology, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, ASX-listed defense technology company.

Responsibilities:
Assemble our client's products following detailed build documentation.

Test products using various equipment, including VNAs and spectrum analyzers.

Complete travelers and QC records during assembly.

Perform SMT soldering on PCBA components for production and R&D purposes.

Assemble cables and troubleshoot electronic issues, communicating findings clearly.

Design and develop test jigs to improve assembly efficiency.

Assist the Tech Team with anechoic chamber testing.

Must Have's:
Proven experience in electronics assembly.

Familiarity with RF equipment and testing is preferred.

Degree in Engineering or relevant technician certification (IPC certification preferred).

Strong SMT soldering skills.

Ability to follow complex assembly and testing instructions accurately.

Keen attention to detail and a passion for technology.

Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Strong commitment to processes and quality standards, with a high level of integrity.

Capable of multitasking, meeting deadlines, and managing pressure.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Positive attitude with a willingness to assist in various tasks, including non-core activities.

Must be eligible for security clearance if required.

Salary: Based on experience: $65,000-$70,000
Location: Warrenton, VA
