The Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician performs general and preventative maintenance of all equipment, physical structures, and landscaping in compliance with corporate/franchise standards to protect the asset, ensure optimum operations and maximize guest satisfaction. SCHEDULE:
  • Variable schedule; Must be available on weekends and holidays
RATE OF PAY:
  • $25.96 to $30.60 per hour/DOE

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
  • Building mechanical systems and controls.
  • Electrical systems
  • Energy management
Skills and Ability to:
  • Maintain and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing
  • Perform carpentry, repair, and construction work
  • Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary tools and equipment
    and perform required duties
  • Successfully lead and motivate staff
  • Work independently and manage one's time to meet productivity
    standards
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance to meet hotel standards and represent the
    hotel positively
  • Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers to accurately
    receive and convey information
  • Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends,
    holidays and respond to emergencies after hours
  • Limited local travel may be required
  • Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years' experience in building maintenance or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Previous experience in hospitality at a similarly sized property highly preferred.
  • Previous preventative maintenance experience preferred.
Licenses:
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Heavy Work:
Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Must be able to see, walk, stand, bend, climb, balance, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push and pull. Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform required duties
