BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated for Data Analyst opportunity in Redmond, WA

Position Title: Data Analyst

Location: Fully Remote

Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Type: Contract and Hybrid

Pay Range: $50/hr. - $55/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:

Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 3+ overall years of experience in the field, in data analytics or project coordination.
Degrees or certifications required: no degree is required to be eligible for this role.
Disqualifiers: Candidates with frequent assignments that are too short will not be eligible for the role.
Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous MSFT experience working with different teams within MSFT, ideally completing full 18-month projects.
Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on accuracy of data entries and completeness of information.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 3+ years' experience with Power BI, Power Automate.
2. Minimum 3+ years' experience with strong Excel and reporting skills.
3. Minimum 3+ years' experience with strong communication skills and note-taking skills.

Summary:
The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.

Job Responsibilities:
Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

Skills:
Experience with database technologies
Knowledge of the ETL process
Knowledge of at least one scripting language
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Demonstrated history of success
Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
2-4 years applicable experience required
