Plant Maintenance Manager - Recycling Industry

Our client, a leader in the recycling industry, is dedicated to sustainability and innovation through the processing of large volumes of recycled materials. They are seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee the efficient operation of production lines and facilities. This role provides an opportunity to lead a skilled maintenance team and significantly contribute to operational success.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and implement all maintenance activities for production lines and facility equipment
  • Manage repairs, services, and maintenance of industrial machinery, ensuring quality control standards
  • Oversee maintenance schedules, workflows, and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Plant Maintenance team
  • Establish and maintain the plant operations maintenance program with a focus on safety
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and external service providers
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 7 years of experience in maintenance management
  • Hands-on expertise in Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical (3-phase), Mechanical systems, Welding, and Programmed Logic Controls (PLCs)
  • 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices related to industrial equipment, including balers, conveyors, and electro-mechanical devices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost management and efficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines
  • Willingness to work shifts, including holidays and weekends, as required
  • Ability to work in diverse environments (hot, cold, wet, dusty)
  • Professional certification is preferred
