$10,000 sign-on bonus (UW Medicine Employees not eligible)
BSN (or higher) premium - $1.00/hour
Certification premium - $1.25/hour
Evening premium - $2.50/hour
Night premium - $4.50/hour
Weekend premium - $4.00/hour

UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), night shift ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER (Registered Nurse 3) to join the Medical Oncology ICU. The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide direct nursing care, train and manage staff, spearhead quality improvement initiatives, and ensure safe patient care practices.

SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week, night shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establishes and maintains credibility as a leader of day-to-day operations

Oversees staffing

Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions

Develops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful department function

Promotes effective communication among staff and patients

Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolutions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

2 years of current or ICU nursing experience

Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience

An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington

BLS

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous work experience in ICU medical and or oncology nursing
