Job description

Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer. Qualifications In addition to the basic education requirements, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications: FOR THE GS-07 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional. understanding and completing limited engineering or architectural designs and projects; carrying out, interpreting, and explaining basic computations and calculations; and reading, understanding, manipulating analyzing, interpreting, and conveying findings. FOR THE GS-09 (or equivalent pay band): Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional. understanding and completing limited engineering or architectural designs and projects. Education For the 0830 Mechanical, 0850 Electrical, 0854 Computer, 0855 Electronics, 0861 Aerospace Engineering series: You must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Manual: In lieu of specialized experience you can use the following education to qualify for this position: FOR THE GS-07: One full academic year of graduate education, law school OR Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) through the following method (only one). No more than 10% of academic credit can be based on pass/fail or similar non-traditional grading systems. 2.95 GPA overall or higher or in last 2 years (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail) 3.45 GPA or higher in major or in last 2 years in major (= or less than 10% Pass/Fail) Upper 1/3 ranking in graduating class (You must submit proof with your application) National Scholastic Honor Society. Membership in a freshman honor society cannot be used to meet the requirements of this provision. (You must submit proof with your application) FOR THE GS-09: Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled. OR A combination of specialized experience at the GS-07 level and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
