Job description


A leading manufacturing company in Spokane has partnered with Aspen Personnel Service the help them find an Inventory Control Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and preventing inconsistencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with inventory management systems, and a proactive mindset to streamline inventory processes.



Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform regular physical inventory audits and match results with system records.

  • Work closely with production teams to ensure that stock levels are sufficient for operations.

  • Investigate and resolve variances between physical counts and system data.

  • Coordinate with other departments to manage the return or disposal of outdated or damaged inventory.

  • Keep inventory data accurate and current using inventory management software.

  • Partner with purchasing and receiving teams to accurately document the movement of goods in and out of inventory.

  • Implement and uphold inventory control measures to reduce loss and shrinkage.

  • Analyze inventory data to spot patterns, identify slow-moving stock, and pinpoint opportunities for optimization.

  • Compile and evaluate reports on stock quantities, movements, and other essential metrics.

  • Travel to company locations periodically, at least once per quarter.

  • Foster a team-oriented, positive work environment.



Skills and Experience:



  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or similar roles.

  • Previous experience in inventory management within manufacturing or construction sectors.

  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is preferred.

  • A Bachelors degree in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.

  • Proficient with Sage or other inventory management systems.

  • A valid drivers license is required.



Full Time:



  • Monday Friday


Salary:



  • $26 - $29 p/h
