Service Engineer (REMOTE in Washington)

Salary: $90,000.00 or $43/hr and up
Reports to: Service Coordinator
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Travel: 70% Regional (in-state); travel within a 1-3 hour radius, no weekends or holidays. Includes company truck, laptop, cell, iPad, and Amex.

Overview:

The Service Engineer will provide on-site maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools, offering technical support and training to customers and customer service engineers.



Essential Job Functions:


  • Provide maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools.
  • Collaborate with customers' service teams, providing training on newer products.
  • Build strong customer service relationships through exemplary communication.


Minimum Requirements:


  • No degree required; competency in the machine tool industry is key.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of CNC machine tools.
  • Proven experience with CNC controls like Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens; Heidenhain preferred.
  • Skilled in reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot input/output signals and read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
  • Experience with G code, 24-volt systems, and CNC components like spindles, turrets, and ball screws.
  • Competence in PLC systems.
