Job description

Duties Oversee all aspects of course management determining appropriate school quotas and their breakout among units based on unit requests, Army training requirements, and appropriateness for MOS and unit missions. Ensure coordination, availability, and scheduling of logistics requirements including courseware, classrooms, computers, internet and any other supporting needs. Analyze results of surveys to determine additional requirements and provide recommendations for course and overall program improvements. Plan budget estimates, cost data and monthly expense phase plans for the cost of Mobile Training Teams and contractors conducting training at JBLM. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights. One year of specialized experience which includes assisting higher level Training Program Specialists in developing class schedules, scheduling training utilizing various computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Digital Training Management System or other scheduling system, ATTRS, etc.), AND coordinating classroom support needs (e.g. classroom availability, scheduling logistical requirements, courseware, instructors, computers, internet.) etc. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. remove LL.B or J.D., if unrelated in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: such as Training and Development, Human Resources Training & Development, or Human Resources Learning & Development. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
