Job description

RAI is actively seeking Junior Program Analysts to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at the Criminal Justice Information Services Division (CJIS) in Clarksburg, WV. As a Junior Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the timely determination of a person's eligibility to possess firearms or explosives in accordance with federal law. This position is onsite and eligible candidates must have an Active Security Clearance and live within commuting distance of the Clarksburg, WV facility. Candidates must be willing to work multiple shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the agency's need. CURRENT WORK schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6am to 230pm. Basic Position Responsibilities:
• Research and analyze criminal backgrounds as part of a Firearm Transactions, Explosives Permits, and other various background checks
• Ensure the accuracy of all processing and research in accordance with federally published guidelines
• Communicate with law enforcement agencies via fax, email, or phone
• Complete necessary document clean-up of existing records to update and/or purge documentation as needed
• Report any point-of-contact changes to the appropriate personnel
• Evaluate existing procedures and provide recommended actions or solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
• Attention to detail, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Chrome
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
