Our work depends on a highly qualified Systems Administrator Advisor joining our team to maintain the operational readiness of the client's High Performance Computing (HPC) environment. HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
• Maintains overall situational awareness of new or existing HPC and HPC-related servers and environment in order to assess and identify issues before they become significant problems.
• Performs initiation, coordination, and ensures follow-through of OEM vendor support within a complex HPC environment to ensure timely repairs and system recoveries.
• Performs hands-on replacement (i.e. break/fix) of failed hardware; including hard drives, DIMMs, CPUs, etc., in order restore systems and servers to production-level quality.
• Maintains inventory and adequate onsite spares levels; including OEM spares, cables, motherboards, etc., in order to minimize unavailability of critical servers and services. • Updates, develops, and maintains repair logs, system downtime logs, and other documents in order to assess and report the health of the HPC environment. • Your hands-on break/fix skills and experience will be driving factors in GDIT's ability to deliver sustained operational readiness. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: • Required Experience: 15+ years of related break/fix experience working in High Performance Computing or equivalent environments.
• Required Technical Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on troubleshooting and repairs within a High Performance Computing environment.
Ability to maintain accurate repair logs and assess same for systemic issues.
Ability to work independently or in a support team setting, depending upon task or circumstances.
Self motivated to perform continual assessment of the state of operational readiness of the HPC environment and address or initiate hardware break/fix remediation activities. • Security Clearance Level: Public Trust (T-1)
• Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to prioritize, oversee, and perform repair tasks;
Ability to clearly communicate and document issues, findings, and status to technical support team members, OEM support vendors, and the client's support and management teams;
Excellent problem solving skills EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High Diploma, or equivalent and 15+ years of experience • Preferred Skills: Experienced in troubleshooting and performing break/fix repairs within a High Performance Computing or similar environment. • Location: On Customer Site (Fairmont, WV) GDIT IS YOUR PLACE:

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
