Duties: Set goals and create action plans to meet Program production and profitability goals. Direct underwriting activities for company-wide portfolio of business and Medical Professional Liability new business within authority granted. Support Program advertisement and promotion to distribution partners. Mentor underwriting staff, sharing industry knowledge and best practices. Hire, discharge, promote, transfer, and approve performance, salary increases, and overtime. Must Have: Bachelor's degree. 5+ years of medical professional liability underwriting experience for physicians and surgeons. Registered Professional Liability Underwriter or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation desired.
