Life Enrichment Coordinator Job Summary: The role of the Life Enrichment Coordinator is here for providing personal care and delegated nursing services designed to maintain the individual's physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities include planning and implementation of a Life Enrichment Activity program. Other regular responsibilities include design and scheduling or activities, coordinating with outside organizations to provide activity to support, and delivery activities to the residents that meet all quality measures Responsibilities: Adheres to policies, operating procedures and Cornerstone's values Add to the monthly and weekly activity calendar that meets residents' needs and expectations including providing one-on-one programming for residents who cannot participate in a group setting Participate in review of resident service plans and conduct personal interviews with residents to gain insight into preferences and abilities for use in the development of activities for the facility Monitor budget, equipment, and supplies to ensure that the activity schedule can be completed successfully Provide guidance to staff on the impact of life enrichment regarding residents' quality of life Trains all staff on life enrichment programs and philosophy Reviews program to ensure that it meets all state, federal, company, and other regulations and guidelines Assists management with the planning and delivery of community events or activities at the residence Provides direct supervision of all staff involved in life enrichment programs while participating in support of the activity Design physical layout and decorations for activities, displays, and other life enrichment products that meet standards Other duties as assigned by the Director Requirements: Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards. Must be punctual, with a good attendance record. Must be mature and emotionally stable using calm and kind tone of voice, remaining calm in difficult or unusual circumstances. Must promote clients' independence, not dependence, by offering choices and fostering self-help skills Be of good moral and ethical character with a positive and energetic attitude. High School diploma/ GED or one to three months of related experience. Abilities: Experience as a manager or other similar position Outstanding communication skills Excellent organizational and leadership skills Aptitude in problem-solving Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, sitting and walk for long periods of time. Occasionally climb, stop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Occasionally lift/or move up to 50 pounds Able to transport residents in wheelchairs.
