Position Summary

We are seeking a high energy, dynamic individual to design and implement plans and strategies for recruiting, retention, and engagement for Veritas' hourly and salaried workforce. This person will build local relationships to increase candidate volume and qualifications This person will strive to bring in the best people to join our growing team while developing strategies for employee engagement and retention of the workforce. The position will work to establish the Veritas brand in the communities that we operate and build Veritas into the "Employer of Choice".

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Role-based strategy development and execution. Identify and participate in community events, job fairs, job postings, tech schools, high schools, etc.
  • Manage vendor relationships such as external recruiters, advertisers, governmental agencies, and other recruitment partners.
  • Develop creative strategies to brand Veritas, market opportunities and establish pipelines.
  • Partner with organizational leaders in all functional areas and Human Resources Partners throughout the candidate cycle to ensure optimal candidate experience.
  • Participate in strategic workforce discussions with each facility to make sure all are aligned to reach performance goals of the company.
  • Identify trends and gaps within the current market and compare them to organizational trends to help attract the best candidates and retain Veritas employees.
  • Source qualified, high-quality candidates who align with division/location's culture and company values.
  • Develop a process for application screening to create a short list of salaried/hourly qualified candidates.
  • Guide hiring managers through the entire talent selection process
  • Develop proactive candidate pipelines/strategies for difficult to fill positions.
  • Partner with all three facilities to ensure employee experience is replicated in the first 90 days to ensure an engaging onboarding process as part of Veritas retention strategies.
  • Partner with HR team and leaders to develop engagement strategies to ensure the employee value proposition is carried throughout the employee experience.
  • Follow Environmental, Quality and Safety Management System procedures and requirements.
  • Develop dashboard for recruitment, retention, onboarding, and ongoing engagement.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading or managing onboarding development program(s).
  • Ability to analyze and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems or equivalent tracking systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport quickly and highly approachable.
  • Ability to leverage social media, community relations and/or government programs (e.g., apprenticeships) to attract qualified candidates.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software products (Word and Excel) and presentation software.
