Job description

Our client, a manufacturing firm is seeking a strong Interim Finance Director to join their team. As an Interim Finance Director, you will be part of the finance team supporting risk advisory functions, tax, and grants. The ideal candidate will have risk management experience, management experience and grant reporting experience which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Interim Finance Director

Location: Green Bay, WI

Pay Range: 50-60

What's the Job?

  • Oversee and assess risk profile for the Corporation and identify appropriate insurance programs to manage and mitigate the Corporation's risk. Insurance programs include General Liability, Property, EPLI, Terrorism, D&O, Workers Compensation, Builder's Risk, Cyber Security, Crime, and Business Interruption, etc.
  • Oversee, manage and investigate in-house claims and insurance carrier claims, including providing supporting claims documentation, coordinating defense strategies and negotiating settlements with claimants, carriers and third parties.
  • Review and analyze the insurance sections of contracts between the Corporation service providers and contractors, and respond to in-house inquiries to evaluate the potential risks and exposures and recommend the appropriate insurance coverages to the Corporation's management, etc.
  • Oversee a tax accountant responsible for income tax returns, tax provisions, estimates, notices, and sales and use taxes
  • Oversee an accountant responsible for managing grant compliance and reporting.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to go on site in Green Bay, Wisconsin
  • Accounting background with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, with a focus on risk management and insurance.
  • Experience in the insurance industry and deep knowledge of the specific risks and regulatory environment related to it.
  • Experience in managing financial operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
