Job description

Position Overview

Green Bay Packaging, Inc. (GBP) is seeking a Purchasing & Materials Management Intern to assist with mill procurement and storeroom operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase order acknowledgements • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and develop ordering strategies through placement of product orders • Resolve internal customer and supplier disputes • Reconcile receiving and invoice discrepancies • Build strong vendor relationships through effective communication • Assist with physical inventory • Participate in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and Purchasing meetings • Participate/lead meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders • Assist with other purchasing initiatives as required

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Proficient in MS Office Suite of products, especially Excel and Word • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working independently and efficiently
