Registered Nurse - RN - IBCLC Summary:

The RN assists in providing and coordinating care for pediatric patients.

Registered Nurse - RN- IBCLC Qualifications:

Current Wisconsin RN license or eligible
CPR certification
IBCLC certification
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
One-year experience in pediatrics or family medicine preferred
Prior Epic experience preferred
Prior clinic experience preferred

Registered Nurse - RN- IBCLC Responsibilities:

Organizes provider's practice and prioritizes responsibilities to efficiently manage patient flow and provider's schedule.
Provides nursing care to patients in accordance with established nursing standards.
Assesses patient status to determine need for treatment or intervention in life-threatening situations. Responds to situation as necessary under the direction of a medical provider or using emergency standing orders.
Dispenses medication and administers injections and immunizations. Recognizes the implications of dosages, interactions, side effects, adverse effects, and routes of administration as applied to individual patients. Uses knowledge to instruct patients on medication therapy.
Assists with office procedures, performs delegated medical acts, and provides supervision as needed to LPNs and unlicensed personnel in accordance with Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates sterile and aseptic technique. Uses appropriate techniques in setting up and assisting with procedures and medication administration.
Ensures that equipment is maintained and functioning properly, including "crash cart" medications and equipment. Assists in maintaining up-to-date and stocked pharmaceutical supplies and drug sample closets.
