Job description

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overall project performance, contract negotiations, budget, schedule, and trade partner management. This will also lead and maintain compliance with corporate safety and quality standards and will serve as the direct point of contact for clients for their portfolio. Client Details

My client is a family owned developer and property management company with over 1,250 units under management. They have secured the financing for over 900 units, and they are looking to break ground on 2 major ground up multi-family projects starting in March of 2025. This person will be in charge of all construction operations at the company, and will be tasked with growing the construction division of this developer. It is the perfect role for a self starter who is not afraid of a challenge, has leadership qualities, and is a true builder at heart. This is a dual role, and this person will be taking projects from preconstruction all the way to closeout, including supervising field staff and subcontractors.



Description

  • Oversee pre-construction activities, including acquiring cost estimates, reviewing project information reports, conducting risk/reward analyses, and ensuring overall project success.
  • Supervise team members, ensuring they meet their responsibilities and performance expectations. Delegate tasks and provide constructive feedback to support their ongoing growth.
  • Lead the evaluation process for new General Contractors and Architects.
  • Excel in delivering top-notch construction services, exceeding production and quality targets. When expectations are unclear, provide clear guidance and definition.
  • Establish and enforce project management practices that facilitate exceptional execution.
  • Stay updated on changes in construction processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices, and implement them effectively.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance business operations through evolutionary changes in methods and processes, taking the lead in implementing these improvements.


Profile

  • Interest in interacting with clients/owners
  • Easy-going, self-motivated, honest, and collaborative
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Construction field - ideally 7-10 years
  • Proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Project)
  • Proven track record of effectively and efficiently managing projects
  • Strong management ability
