Work Schedule:
80% FTE, Day. Typically, scheduled Monday through Friday, every 9th Saturday rotation required, Sundays and Holidays off. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered. You will work onsite at the University Hospital, American Family Children's Hospital and East Madison Hospital locations in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Patient and Educator to:
- Positively impact patient outcomes in both adult and pediatric populations.
- Identify learning needs and provide individualized education based on specific learning needs and preferences and communicate this information across multiple disciplines and settings.
- Provide support as needed to interdisciplinary colleagues who are providing and/or reinforcing patient/family education through regular interactions with staff on units, in clinics, and in other departments.
- Incorporate knowledge of current clinical practices/technologies to maximize patient's and family's ability to be involved in care and care decisions.
- Use computer technology and other innovative methodologies to support patient and family learning efforts.
- Provide education to a variety of patients on topics such as Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure, and Anticoagulation Therapy. It is preferred RNs have experience working with these populations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
- 3 years recent relevant clinical experience Required
- Broad experience in medical/surgical and/or pediatric nursing Required
- Demonstrated leadership experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- RN Licensure in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
- BLS/CPR Certification Upon Hire Required
- CDE Preferred
