Clinic RN Supervisor Pediatrics - Summary:
The Registered Nurse Supervisor performs personnel and administrative functions in a designated departmental area for the purpose of ensuring safe, professional nursing care. The Registered Nurse Supervisor also acts as a Registered Nurse.
Clinic RN Supervisor Pediatrics - Qualifications:
Current Wisconsin RN license or eligible
CPR certification
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Two years RN experience required, five years RN experience preferred
One year supervisory or leadership experience preferred
BSN degree preferred
Prior Epic and clinic experience preferred
One year pediatric nursing experience preferred
Clinic RN Supervisor Pediatrics - Responsibilities:
Schedules nursing staff to ensure proper utilization of staff in accordance with Nurse Practice Act. Plans, coordinates, supervises and assigns daily activities of nursing staff.
Regularly communicates with providers and staff to identify and resolve issues.
Monitors employee use of time. Approves time off requests and schedule changes. Reviews and corrects employee punches daily.
Monitors the performance of nursing staff, obtaining feedback from providers, staff, and patients. Writes performance evaluations and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
Assists with hiring of staff. Oversees the orientation and training of new staff. Ensures that all nursing staff are clinically competent and understand their roles and responsibilities. Responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational materials for new and existing staff. Acts as a content expert in standardized workflows. Gathers and evaluates data to improve practice support, quality care and competency of clinical staff.
Acts as a Registered Nurse. Organizes provider practice and prioritizes responsibilities to efficiently manage patient flow and the provider schedule.
Provides nursing care to patients in accordance with established nursing standards.
