Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse Job Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 36 hours per week, Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday (variation of 6:30 am - 7:00 pm with possible shifts from 9:40 am - 10:00 pm) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years - Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area - Previous experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital is required - Successful completion of a previous traveler assignment (13 weeks) License: - A valid nursing license from the home state or a compact license Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certified through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius - Must provide 2 references from a recent work environment (supervisor or manager only) - Experience in providing care in cardiovascular medicine and cardiothoracic surgery settings Job Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery team. The ideal candidate will: - Provide high-quality care to patients in a critical care and intermediate care unit - Deliver care with a blend of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs - Be an integral part of a team caring for patients undergoing cardiac and thoracic surgeries, heart and/or lung transplants, and various cardiovascular medical procedures - Be flexible to work across multiple units as staffing needs dictate - Ensure care delivery focuses on the specialized needs of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including those with medical devices and diverse cardiovascular medical diagnoses
