Grede Holdings is seeking a skilled Automation and CNC Technician to maintain and repair CNC equipment, automation systems, and related machinery in our facility. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems while minimizing downtime and maximizing production. Safety and quality are at the forefront of every task. If you have a strong background in robotics, CNC controls, and programmable logic controllers, we want you to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues in CNC production machines, automation systems, sensors, wiring components, and robotics (e.g., Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Okuma, Allen Bradley, Mori Seiki, Siemens, Doosan).

• Design, draw, wire, and interpret electrical circuits and schematics.

• Perform detailed work on electrical controls, including using multimeters to troubleshoot circuits at the board level and replacing components as needed.

• Write, interpret, and test ladder logic programs in programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

• Back up equipment data and recover from any data loss incidents.

• Collaborate with external technical support when necessary and document procedures.

• Gain proficiency in computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).

• Work in a variety of environments, including crawling inside, on top of, and under equipment in tight and slippery spaces.

• Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

• Perform miscellaneous assignments as directed and maintain an excellent attendance record.

Required Qualifications:

• Education and Experience: One- or two-year certificate from a college or technical school in Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical studies, or three to six years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints.

• Mathematical Skills: Strong understanding of basic algebra and geometry to calculate figures such as discounts, proportions, area, and volume.

• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.

• HAZCOM

• Forklift Safety

• Quality System Awareness

• Arc Flash Safety

Certifications, Licenses & Training:

• CNC Maintenance Training or Experience

• Fanuc Robotics Training or Experience

• General Robotics Training or Experience

Location: Menomonee Falls, WI

Salary: $28/hour
