We are now accepting applications for a CNA for Hospice Care! Summary of Position: The Nurse Aide is a critical member of the nursing care team and also a member of the direct care staff. The Nurse Aide provides direct Hospice nursing care to our patients in order to maintain the highest's levels of comfort and quality of life for our patients. The Nurse Aide will work directly with other care providers to regularly assess and change course to meet the individual needs of the patient. Responsibilities and skills include: Provide health care services within our patients residences Perform domestic and household tasks Assist with clients personal care activities Maintain patients care records and document provided services Assist patients with mobility Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support Proven working experience as home health aide Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards Caring and compassionate personality Provides updates on patient conditions/symptoms to RN Case Manager Valid driver's license Position Requirements: Educational/Degree and/or Training/Licensure C.N.A. required Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Experience: Prefer experience but will train the right person. Physical Requirements: Ability to participate in physical activity. Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity. Heavy lifting. Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis. Working Conditions: Be able to tolerate exposure to elements including, but not limited to, odors, blood, body fluids and excrements, adverse environmental conditions and hazardous materials. Transportation: Must have a current valid driver's license, up-to-date auto liability insurance and reliable transportation.
