You will be joining a team responsible for maintaining and improving platforms that are focused on lead generation, brand awareness and educating consumers of the benefits of our products and services. As a senior software engineer you will be helping lead the architecture and direction of the platform; working with technical areas such as data engineering along with marketing partners to find solutions on a modern Marketing platform. In addition to working with SFMC, this person will have an opportunity to build other applications in React.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture, a solid understanding of API development, full-stack JavaScript, and exhibits team leadership and mentoring abilities. This person will have a strong passion for exploring, experimenting with, and embracing emerging technologies. The candidate must possess a focused, self-starter attitude and be effective at working with little supervision, collaborating with multiple partners, and leading priorities.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Partner with engineering and marketing to design and build out our client communications platform Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Actively seek ways to improve the Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance including data collection, accessibility, and automation and journey optimization (writing complex SQL queries and AMPscript).
• Iterate and improve execution of marketing email campaign management, internal API, landing pages, and data integrations.
• Requires full stack and Javascript experience to lead the team effectively as SFMC integrates direct with our other applications.
• Design, build, debug, and maintain complex Automation Studio automations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud as well as integrations with systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, internal Leads platform, and various databases.
• Help drive cross platform integrations with existing AWS hosted systems.

Requirements :

• 2+ years hands on experience with Marketing Cloud development.
• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Certified in one or more of the following: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Certified Administrator.
• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment.
• Hands on experience with the following skillsets: AMPScript, SQL, ETL, JavaScript, React, Typescript, AWS, and Kubernetes are preferred.
• Experience with AWS and services that support large scale data integrations and reporting is a plus.

Pay Range - Start:

$100,030.00

Pay Range - End:

$185,770.00
Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
