Regional Operations Director

Midwest Region

salary range: $130,000 - $200,000

Trulite is looking for a Regional Operations Director for our Midwest Region. The Regional Operations Director is responsible for managing manufacturing operations within the region to include Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Inventory and Cost Control, Logistics and other related activities. The Regional Operations Director must carry management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WHO YOU ARE:

A leader of people with strategic vision and capable of effectively prioritizing multiple workloads and concurrently manage projects. The person filling this position must be adaptable to ever changing business environments and departmental need changes as well as inter departmental, general business and customer communication and confidentiality.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Directs regional branch operations for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping/receiving.
  • Has P&L oversight responsibility for regional branches and ensures that financial goals are met.
  • Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, workforce, wages and effective use of labor.
  • Monitors overall regional facility performance for production and quality standards.
  • Controls and minimizes labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
  • Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to facility operation managers and other leadership positions.
  • Directs the appropriate safety conditions to ensure full OSHA compliance and to reduce the incidence of work-related injury to employees.
  • Communicates regularly with senior management and support functions.

SKILLS YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university; plus 10 years general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must understand financial statements and be skilled in making business decisions based on financial data. Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures including Lean manufacturing techniques required.
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse work force to meet aggressive financial and cultural expectations.
  • Must have excellent follow through and communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
  • Excellent communication skills required both verbally and in writing.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of general Manufacturing software, ERP software and core Microsoft office suite software; Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced excel knowledge preferred.
  • Must have strong leadership, mentoring and employee development skills.
  • Must have results proven experience with plant recovery processes and continuous improvement processes.
