Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for overseeing 24/7 operations of the Surgical Services department which includes Same Day Surgery, GI Lab, CS, OR and PACU. The manager performs the role of nurse leader in providing safe and quality perioperative care to all patients in the unit by assessing, planning, implementing, directing and evaluating the systems, operations, and resources for the Surgical Services department functions of the organization in accordance with established strategic objectives. The Surgical Services manager will supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel in the department through effective communication, professionalism and leadership in a manner that supports the mission and vision of the organization.
Work Schedule: Onsite. M-F.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Three-five years of hospital nursing experience in operating room, surgical services, acute care.
Previous leadership experience in similar capacity or demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Current WI Registered Nurse License
Current BLS certification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in nursing or related health care field
